Introducing Harvest Culture: Plant. Harvest. Feed Your Home.

How Harvest Culture Works

At Heal and Feed Life Care Foundation, our mission has always been clear — to aid the healing and feeding of the helpless while empowering communities to thrive sustainably. Today, we are proud to introduce a new programme that turns this mission into practical action for families: Harvest Culture.
Harvest Culture is a participatory food-security movement that enables individuals and families to grow, own, and benefit from the food they consume. Whether by learning to farm themselves or by engaging trusted agricultural professionals to cultivate on their behalf, participants become active partners in feeding their homes and supporting others.
This is not an investment scheme. It is real farming, real food, and real ownership — carried out through a transparent cooperative model.

Participants join a structured cooperative farming programme and take part in actual agricultural production. Every stage is documented so members always know what is happening on the farm and what happens to their produce.
The journey follows five clear steps:

  • 1 Join the cooperative
  • 2 Choose how you want to participate
  • 3 Select a farming cycle
  • 4 Monitor planting and cultivation
  • 5 Collect, sell, split, or donate your harvest

Four Pathways to Participate

Harvest Culture offers flexible pathways so that people with different levels of time, land, and experience can take part:

  • • Learn to Grow — Training and agricultural fellowship for individuals, families, schools, and community groups
  • • Grow Your Own — Support for those who want to cultivate their own land
  • • We Grow for You — Professional cultivation managed on members’ behalf with full transparency
  • • Grow and Give — A humanitarian pathway that produces food for vulnerable families

Why This Matters

Food security is one of the most pressing challenges facing many Nigerian families. Harvest Culture addresses this by combining cooperative ownership, transparent farm management, and the option to share surplus with those in need through the Grow and Give pathway.
By participating, members do not only secure food for their own households — they also contribute to a wider culture of shared responsibility and community care, which sits at the heart of Heal and Feed’s work.
