Ambassador Joseph Odika serves as the Special Adviser to the President at the Heal and Feed Life Care Foundation, bringing a wealth of experience in animal welfare, environmental advocacy, and community engagement. He is the founder and Executive Director of the Animal Protection Organization of Nigeria (APON), established on October 4, 2019, to combat animal cruelty and promote sustainable practices across the nation.

Joseph’s journey into animal advocacy began in 2012 during his tenure as a polo sports publisher. After witnessing a tragic incident where a horse sustained a fatal limb injury during a polo match, he was inspired to dedicate a column in his Poloplus Magazine to pony welfare. This pivotal moment led him to expand his focus to all animals, culminating in the creation of APON.

Under his leadership, APON has initiated numerous campaigns, including humane education in schools, environmental clean-ups, and protests against animal cruelty. Joseph has also been instrumental in organizing Vegfest Nigeria, an event aimed at promoting plant-based diets and climate resilience.

In recognition of his unwavering commitment, Joseph was appointed as a World Animal Day Ambassador and conferred the title of Climate Ambassador by WeDIDit Health, a U.S.-based health and wellness organization. His multifaceted expertise and dedication make him an invaluable asset to the Heal and Feed Life Care Foundation, where he continues to advise on strategies that align with the organization’s mission to foster holistic well-being and environmental stewardship.
