ACQUISITION OF FARMLAND UNDER THE GROW AND GIVE PROJECT
The Grow and Give Project is a flagship initiative of Heal and Feed Life Care Foundation aimed at promoting food security, self-reliance, and sustainable agriculture within underserved communities. This project focuses on cultivating farmland to grow essential food crops, which are then distributed to individuals and families in need. Additionally, the initiative encourages beneficiaries to adopt sustainable farming practices to ensure long-term food sufficiency.
In alignment with our 2025 objectives, we are pleased to report a significant milestone: the acquisition of two (2) acres of farmland dedicated to planting yam, cassava, and maize for the upcoming farming season. This marks a major step towards fulfilling our mission of reducing hunger and empowering communities through agriculture.
Details of the Land Acquisition
- Location: Lagos/Ibadan Expressway
- Size: 2 acres
- Duration of Lease: One year (with potential for renewal or expansion)
- Primary Crops: Yam, Cassava, Maize
- Purpose: Cultivation and distribution of food to vulnerable populations, with an emphasis on sustainability and community engagement.
This land has been carefully selected based on its soil quality, accessibility, and suitability for crop production. The choice of yam, cassava, and maize reflects staple crops that are widely consumed and have a strong potential for both food security and economic benefit.
Project Execution Plan
- Land Preparation (January – March 2025)
- Clearing and tilling of the farmland.

- Educating beneficiaries on backyard farming techniques to encourage sustainability.
Future Plans & Expansion
Recognizing the importance of scaling up our impact, we aim to acquire additional farmland before the onset of the rainy season to increase our cultivation capacity. This expansion will enable us to reach more beneficiaries and further strengthen our efforts in eradicating hunger through sustainable agriculture.
Key plans for expansion include:
✔ Identifying and securing more farmland in strategic locations.
✔ Partnering with agricultural experts and local farming communities.
✔ Mobilizing additional resources and funding to enhance productivity.
✔ Introducing innovative farming techniques to improve crop yield.
The acquisition of two acres of farmland under the Grow and Give Project is a significant step toward achieving our goal of feeding the hungry, promoting self-sufficiency, and fostering a culture of giving. As we prepare for the upcoming planting season, we remain committed to expanding our reach, maximizing yield, and empowering more communities to become food secure.
We appreciate the continued support of our partners, donors, and volunteers, and we look forward to making an even greater impact in the months ahead.
